Investigators with the Los Angeles Police Department are asking for the public’s help in identifying two burglary suspects who were caught on surveillance video.

On Feb. 2 at approximately 3:50 p.m., the two suspects armed with hammers entered a jewelry store near Coldwater Canyon Avenue and Riverside Drive. The suspects started smashing the display cases and removed several watches. The owner tried to stop the assailants but was pushed away. The suspects ran out of the location with several pieces of jewelry and fled in a light colored compact vehicle. The same two suspects were also caught on video the previous day posing as customers.

Both suspects are Hispanic men approximately 20 to 30 years old. One is 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall and weighs about 170 pounds, while the other is approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds.

Surveillance camera footage from the robberies can be viewed at www.lapdtv.org. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective O’Shea at (818)374-0087 or Detective Flores at (818)374-0079. During weekends and off-hours, call the LAPD’s 24-hour hotline at (877)LAPD247.
