LAPD announces $50,000 award for murder information

Los Angeles Police Department detectives have announced a $50,000 reward in the unsolved murder of 22-year-old Kendrick Blackmon.

On April 21 around 1:35 a.m., Blackmon was murdered as he was driving home with friends on San Pedro Street, near downtown Los Angeles. A vehicle pulled up next to Blackmon’s car, and one or more suspects began shooting. The suspects then drove away. Blackmon was later pronounced dead.

Detectives said there have been few leads in the case. Blackmon reportedly had no gang affiliation or criminal history. Police have not established a motive in the case.
