Suspicious package forces closure of La Brea Avenue

La Brea Avenue was closed between Wilshire Boulevard and 6th Street shortly before 4 p.m. on Nov. 1 while police investigated a suspicious package left unattended mid-block near the sidewalk. The Los Angeles Police Department’s Bomb Squad was called in to investigate, and determined the package was empty. La Brea Avenue was reopened around 5:05 p.m., according to Sgt. Guy Juneau, with the LAPD’s Wilshire Division.
