Transient charged

A 22-year-old transient was charged on Oct. 16 with breaking into the West Hollywood home of Frances Cobain, the daughter of the late singer Kurt Cobain.
Marc James Franco faces one felony count of first-degree burglary.
Frances Cobain was out of town when a relative went to her home on Saturday and allegedly discovered Franco inside doing laundry. Franco allegedly claimed he was a friend of the victim, but the relative called police.
If convicted, Franco faces up to six years in state prison.
