Blues Brunch at JW Marriott

Nona Sivley, winner of the Season 8 Hell’s Kitchen and Executive Chef of LA Market, is preparing a BBQ brunch every Sunday at the ION Rooftop Bar and Lounge at JW Marriott Los Angeles. Live entertainment from Jason Joseph & The Spectacular will keep guests tapping their feet and dancing on July 8. Guests have a choice of BBQ chicken brined in fresh herbs, grilled skirt steak with brown sugar spice rub or boneless baby back ribs with a pineapple sauce. 900 W. Olympic Blvd. (213)765-8600.

Patina’s Summer Menu

Chef and Founder Joachim Splichal and Chef de Cuisine Charles Olalia are featuring three or four-course menus throughout the summer. Some of the dishes include stonefruit salad with crème fraiche and Parmigiano-Reggiano. The Copper River king salmon is accompanied with ratatouille, squash blossom, manila clams and basil. Each week the menu changes based on fresh ingredients purchased at the Santa Monica Farmers’ Market visits. Summer hours are Tues. through Sat. from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The three-course summer menu is $49 per person and the four-course menu is $59. Nick & Stef’s Steakhouse

Adorable Chef Megan Logan is teaching guests on July 13 helpful BBQ techniques and personal tips. Her Meat 101 cooking class begins at 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Every Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. is a guest bartender series at Nick + Stef’s with beer and drink specials. Eat For Free

Chef Mairinger at BierBeisel is looking for men and women taller than 6’7”. If you can’t walk through the front door without ducking, and officially are measured without shoes on, Mairinger will pay for your meal. One free entrée and dessert per person during the month. It does not include beer or wine. BierBeisel offers a “Build your own” three-course lunch with a choice of soup or salad, pork or turkey schnitzel with side dish and an Austrian pastry for $30. Umami Restaurant Group

Adam Fleischman is one of the most creative food enthusiasts. He recently purchased L.A. Creamery Artisan Ice Cream. As the new owner and partner, he is looking forward to creating new flavors and grow the distribution of the company. His ice cream flavors are fun, innovative and delicious. Some of the new flavors include salted chocolate, honeycomb, Moonshine + caramel corn, a smoky Mezcal, Absinthe and Porc Phat using Spanish Iberico lardo with sweet Asian pears, hazelnuts and pure mint gel. Mo-chica

Ricardo Zarate is launching a new Peruvian lunch menu. Some of the new dishes include hamburgesa made from alpaca and lamb burger. His Lomo Saltado’s sautéed beef filet with roma tomatoes and red onions and Quinotto made with Quinoa risotto with wild mushrooms, parmesan and parsley infused oil are delicious. Ray’s & Stark Bar

To toast the massive, granite megalith 340-ton boulder now on exhibit at LACMA, Ray’s is offering a new “Rocktail” by Paul Sanguinetti. Bonaventure’s L.A. Prime

Fleming’s Summer Sundays

A three-course prime rib dinner is available at Flemings at a special price. From July 8 to Labor Day weekend, pair the meal with a bottle of B.R. Leonardo’s Tacos on Tuesdays

Enjoy an Argentine Tango Night on Tuesdays with food by the Candela Taco Bar and Lounge, adjacent to Leonardo’s. Roy’s Summer Aloha Menu

A new Aloha Hour menu includes smoked mahi mahi tacos, beef short ribs and the Big Island ebi roll.
