Four Seasons Windows Celebrates the Olympics
Chef Ashley James at the Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles is offering a special Olympic menu to guests starting this Friday through the remainder of the Games.
Start with a Pimm’s cup or London Cooler while enjoying a Fish and Chip “Butty” sandwich with wild arugula and tartar sauce or warm sausage and sage rolls with Chef Ashley’s house-made ketchup. For dessert, splurge on Olympic Eccles cakes with Devonshire ice cream and berries. Chef Ashley is also offering The Big Ben with traditional English cucumber finger sandwiches paired with a martini made with Hendrick’s Gin, Maraschino liquor, basil, cucumber and honey for $20.12. The decadent Golden Dream cocktail is Hennessy Paradis Rare Cognac with Moet & Chandon Rose champagne with 24-karat gold leaf for $250. 300 S. Doheny Dr. (310)273-2222.
Go For Gold-tini
Celebrate the upcoming 2012 Olympic Games at WP24 Restaurant and Lounge by Wolfgang Puck at the Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles. Created by Beverage Director Klaus Puck, the Go for Gold cocktail features classic English Oxley gin, rosemary from the hotel’s on-site rooftop cocktail garden, lemon and 24K gold flakes. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the cocktail will be donated to the Special Olympics non-profit organization. Olympic City Chef at Water Grill
The new Executive Chef Damon Gordon, a Great Britain native, prepares a true perennial English Pub favorite, wild Atlantic cod fish & chips in honor of the Olympics. Dog Haus Goes for Gold
Order a “Dog Haus Olympic Special” while watching the Olympics. An all-American combo features a chili cheese dog or chili cheese burger with fries and a coke for $7. The U.S. Olympic Volleyball team were regulars at Umami Burger Anaheim before they left for London. Umami created a custom burger, just for them.
