Going Beyond Finger Painting

The Zimmer Children’s Museum celebrated the “Week of the Young Child” last week with special events for children under 2 years old.
One event included the art crawl, in which organizers cleaned out the museum’s art room, placed wax paper everywhere, poured various colors of non-toxic paint in paper plates and the let the little ones go at it.
The idea was for the baby to become the artist and the canvas, as Nathan “The Orange Monster” Kin (above), 15 months, demonstrated clearly.
The Zimmer Children’s Museum is located at 6505 Wilshire Blvd., Suite 100.
