“I Dream of Jeannie” actress Barbara Eden received the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce’s Lifetime Achievement Award on Thursday at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.
“Jeannie” was a hit series that ran for five years, beginning in 1965. Eden also starred in 25 feature films, a handful of made-for-television movies and many variety shows. After showing clips of her work, the chamber presented her with a painting of her likeness by artist Robert Byrne.
Eden joins a list of lifetime achievement honorees that includes Steve Allen, Ralph Edwards, Art Linkletter, Debbie Reynolds, Rhonda Fleming, Melissa Gilbert, Tab Hunter, Bob Barker, Esther Williams, Cloris Leachman, Tony Curtis and Tippi Hedren.
