Police Seek Leads in Rampart Homicide

Detectives with the LAPD’s Rampart Division Homicide Unit are searching for a suspect who killed a 21-year-old man on April 8.
The incident occurred around 1:40 a.m. near Kensington Road and Echo Park Terrace. Witnesses reported hearing gunshots, and around 20 minutes later, the victim’s family went outside to check on the victim, Etsael Cardenas, who was seated inside his car.
The victim was unresponsive, and was later transported to a nearby hospital where he died. No motive or suspect description has been established.
