The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has scheduled another Prescription Drug Take-Back Day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. Locally, residents can dispose of their unwanted, unused or expired medications at the West Hollywood Station of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, 780 N. San Vicente Blvd.

Participants in the DEA’s third National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day last year turned in more than 377,086 pounds of unwanted or expired medications for safe and proper disposal at 5,327 sites. In all, 995,185 pounds of medication has been removed from circulation nationwide in the past 13 months.
