LAPD to Host Muslim Community Forum

Los Angeles Police Department is hosting a Muslim Community Forum on Thursday, July 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Iranian Muslim Association of North America (IMAN) Cultural Center, 3376 Motor Ave.
The Forum will include a discussion with LAPD Commissioner Richard Drooyan; LAPD Chief Charlie Beck; LAPD Deputy Chief Michael Downing, of the Counter-Terrorism and Special Operations Bureau; Dr. Sadegh Namazikhah, executive director of IMAN Cultural Center; and Imam Abdul-Karim Hasan and Salam Al-Marayati, co-chairs of the forum.
The event is being held to provide community members an opportunity to engage with the LAPD. It is part of the department’s continuing efforts to strengthen partnerships with all communities in Los Angeles, and to promote openness and transparency.
