Gunman Holds Up Doughnut Shop

The Los Angeles Police Department is searching for a man who robbed a doughnut store at gunpoint on May 4 in the Mid-City area.

At 1:45am, a man walked into a shop located in the 1700 block of Western Avenue.  The man was carrying a “tec-9” type gun, and confronted a male employee, demanding money.  The suspect took the money from the cash register and ordered the employee down to the ground.  The robber escaped on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.  No one was injured during the incident.

The gunman is described as an African-American male.  He stands about six-feet tall and weighs 220 pounds.  He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jean pants and black shoes.  He was also wearing black gloves.
