Red O Restaurant

Superstar Chef Rick Bayless’ will be at Red O on Nov. 8 and Nov. 9 to sign his newest cookbook, “Frontera: Margaritas, Guacamoles and Snacks”. Guests who dine at the restaurant receive a complimentary bite prepared from one of the recipes in the book. Signed books are available for $24.95. Copies are limited. Mirabelle Restaurant

New Executive Chef Drew Ison has created a diverse menu at the upscale California bistro. The majority of the items on the new menu are under $30. A fun starter is the Flaming Saganaki (Greek cheese) with peppers and tomatoes. The crispy Scottish salmon is served with a sweet potato puree. Finish with a signature chocolate soufflé. Beer & Yoga

Every Saturday in November, the Pub at Golden Rd. Brewing has a certified Ashtanga Yoga instructor, Robert Rice, offer a yoga series on the lawn. For $10, guests can enjoy a yoga class from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and a beer as a reward afterwards. Wine Riot

Take a “crash course” wine seminar and listen to live music, while enjoying small plates from local food trucks. On Sat. Nov. 10 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., the Majestic Halls near the Pershing Square Metro Station transforms to an interactive setting to stimulate all five senses with wine and food. Coupa Café’s Burger Day

Every Wednesday, Coupa Café celebrates burger day with fries and a choice of wine or beer for $16. Known for its Venezuelan specialties, the burger is in a pain de mie sesame bun with lettuce, tomato and red onions. Their award winning Coupa frites accompany the dish. National Vegan Month

M Café is offering a “Happy Hour” emphasizing nutritious and delicious macrobiotic small plates and seasonal fare at the Melrose Ave. restaurant Mon. through Fri. from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. All items are priced between $6 to $8. Burger Lounge

On a bi-monthly basis Burger Lounge, enjoy a grass-fed wild game burger this month. In Nov. and Dec. order a grass-fed bison burger with blue cheese with pickled red onions. Autumn Pizza

At Pitfire Artisan Pizza, the chefs are creating a roast pumpkin pizza with sage roasted butternut squash with toasted pepitas, fontina cheese and a drizzle of pumpkin seed oil. Their new Brussels sprout and bacon pizza is a savory pie with cream, garlic cloves and Parmesan. For this month only, to celebrate their 15th anniversary, they are making a Tuscan pizza with roasted potato mozzarella, gorgonzola and a splash of pesto for only $7.95. 801 N. Chef John-Carlos Kuramoto offers a new Fall menu at the iconic Santa Monica restaurant. Enjoy a small plate of Maine lobster with couscous and pomegranate or a Sonoma duck breast with Bloomdale spinach. Michael’s burger comes with duck fat onions, heirloom tomatoes and housemade American cheese. in addition, the menu offers a five-course tasting prix fixe for $75 per person, and a seven-course tasting for $100.
