Roy Lopez on Nov. 8 pleaded guilty to one count of receiving stolen property, and received three years of formal probation.
“Roy has been fighting for almost three years. He was unemployed and had become homeless at various times,” his attorney, David Diamond, said. “Roy has never been in Paris Hilton’s residence, and he can now stand firm by this claim because both the evidence and the court support this contention.”
Diamond also became a “friend of the court” counsel for co-defendant Diana Tamayo, who received three years of formal probation, and was ordered to complete 60 days of Caltrans, with credit given for time served.
The two are part of a group of five people who were indicted in 2010 for allegedly netting more than $3 million in stolen goods from several eelebrities’ homes.
