Flowers and candles were placed Thursday at the Hollywood Walk of Fame star of Donna Summer, who died May 17 after battling lung cancer. Summer, who was known as “The Queen of Disco” for a string of hits during the 1970s and ‘80s such as “Hot Stuff”, “Bad Girls” and “She Works Hard for the Money”, was a five-time Grammy Award winner. In 2008, she released her 17th and final album, “Crayons”. She received a star on the Walk of Fame on March 18, 1982, at 7000 Hollywood Blvd., next to the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel.
