Pop Culture Icon Dick Clark Dead at 82


Flowers were scheduled to be placed at Dick Clark’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star at the corner of Sunset Boulevard and Vine Street on Wednesday afternoon. The legendary host of “American Bandstand” and “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” died Wednesday from an apparent heart attack. He was 82. Clark cut back on public appearances after he suffered a stroke in 2004. In addition to the aforementioned programs, he also hosted “The $25,000 Pyramid” and “TV’s Bloopers and Practical Jokes”.
