A 26-year-old Hollywood man accused of shooting his ex-girlfriend in the head at a Studio City hotel was charged on March 21 with attempted murder, the District Attorney’s Office announced.

Michael Green is charged with one count of attempted, willful, deliberate, premeditated murder with a special allegation that he personally used a firearm causing great bodily injury.

The defendant is accused of shooting his ex-girlfriend on March 19 during an argument. The shooting took place at the Sportsmen’s Lodge in Studio City, where the couple was staying with their two children.

Following the shooting, Green fled the scene with the children — ages 1-1/2 and six months. Officers of the Los Angeles Police Department arrested the defendant in Canoga Park later that day. The children were uninjured.

The victim is in stable condition, according to authorities.

Green’s bail was recommended at $2 million. If convicted as charged, he faces a maximum sentence of 50 years to life in state prison.
