The incident occurred around 2:15 a.m. on the sidewalk in front of L.A. Tattoo at 6547 Hollywood Blvd. Michael Penckofer, an employee at the tattoo parlor, said one of the victims was a tattoo artist at the business.

“One of the artists followed a friend outside and there was a little argument. I saw a little scuffle, and the guy came back in,” Penckofer said. “I didn’t realize he had been stabbed until I saw the blood on the floor.”

Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson, Officer Cleon Joseph, said the suspect was described as a Hispanic man, 30 to 35 years old, with a shaved head and a mustache. The suspect was wearing a blue flannel jacket. Neither Joseph or Penckofer had any information about what prompted the argument. Two of the victims, including the tattoo artist, were hospitalized in stable condition. The third victim refused medical treatment.

Penckofer said the suspect had not been inside the tattoo parlor prior to the stabbing. L.A. Tattoo remains open until 3 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, he added.

Anyone with information about the stabbing is urged to call Det. Lance Jurado or Det. Bill Wilson, with the LAPD’s Hollywood Division, at (213)972-2967.
